Jan Kus Quartet

 An exciting new musical formation by the Slovenian-born, New York-based saxophonist, arranger and composer, features some of the most promising young musicians on the scene today.This band of fresh and yet already very experienced individuals performs the captivating music of its leader with a characteristic rhythmical and cross-cultural quality. Merging the influences from their various native cultures and living environments (the rhythmical complexities of the Balkans, the dancing joy of the South American musical traditions, the vast open plains of South East Europe, and the backbeats of the streets of New York), this dedicated group of musicians strives to create its own unique musical landscape, taking the listener on a trip – physically, mentally, and spiritually.
